Application procedure
Before applying for PAREXEL Academic Institute, you can take part in one of our information evenings. These are held at regular intervals. (For dates, see the "News" section of our website). You can find out about the course contents, future job prospects in clinical research, and ask any course related questions.
Applications for a place on the BSc in Clinical Research should be written in German and can be sent to us via our online Application Form or mail.

Your application should convey a convincing impression of you as a person and should contain the following:
Letter of application/motivation
• Curriculum vitae
• High school diploma (German Abitur or an officially accepted
equivalent)
• If applicable, certificates or testimonials from work placements,
further training, voluntary or honorary activities, international
experience, etc.
Admission to the course „Bachelor of Science in Clinical Research" is limited to 25 places per academic year. For this reason, early application is recommended.
The deadline for all applications is 30. August 2013.
On the basis of your application, PAREXEL Academic Institute will decide whether or not to invite you to participate in the selection process, in form of an Assessment Center.
If your application is not successful, we will inform you immediately and send your application documents back to you.
Applicants from member states of the European Union have the same status as German applicants, provided they can prove that their German is of a sufficiently high level to follow a university course of study.
Additional country-specific regulations may apply for applicants from outside the EU. In this case, please contact us to clarify your situation personally.
Language requirements
All international applicants will need to prove their German language skills by passing the “Test in German as a Foreign Language”
Selection
Promising candidates are invited to attend a one-day Assessment Center. Here you will be asked to perform a variety of tasks to give us an impression of your spoken and written English, and your communication, presentation and computer skills.
On the basis of these results and your written application, we will decide there and then whether to offer you a place at PAREXEL Academic Institute. At the end of the day you will receive feedback from us and a provisional offer. Our definite decision with a formal offer of a place will be sent to you by mail, as soon as possible.
Assessment Centers take place throughout the year, as required. Dates of Information Evenings and Assessment Centers may be found on our website under "News" .
Participation in an Assessment Center is free of charge.
Admission
Formal criteria for application are:
High school diploma (Abitur or Fachabitur) with a specialization
in at least one natural science
In addition, you should:
• have an interest in medical matters
• have excellent English skills
• have a well-structured and accurate working style
• be open and a team-player
• be self-confident
• be determined
• enjoy working with people
Admission to the course is limited to 25 students per year.
This policy enables us to ensure that we are able to offer you
maximum support and maintain our high quality standards.
If your application is successful, we will send you a letter of
admission and two copies of the contract, one for you to keep
and one to return, signed and dated.
